The most prevalent frame in the Italian style is the Cassetta frame. The Cassetta frame is composed of a flat in-between surface area heavily decorated with sgrafitto, and a risen component with continuous curled or waved leaves. Another typical Italian frame is the Salvator Ros, which has a hollow and convex in-between surface area.
